This pizza is very simple and can easily be adapted to fit your favorite toppings!
Ingredients (makes 3 thin crust pizzas)
1 tomato, sliced
fresh basil leaves
2-3 cups of tomato sauce
fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
1 Tbs dried basil
pinch of salt
olive oil
semolina flour for dusting
Instructions
1. Put a large cast iron pan or just a baking sheet, into the oven. Heat oven to 450 F with the pan inside. Using a hot pan will make the bottom of your pizza crispy.
2. Roll out the first pizza. Once the oven has reached 450F and your dough is ready, take the pan out and dust it with semolina flour. Carefully spread your rolled dough to on to the hot pan. Brush the dough with olive oil (this will keep the pizza from getting soggy), then spread the tomato sauce on, and top with the mozzarella cheese. If you want other toppings as well now would be the time to add them.
3. Bake the pizza for around 12 minutes or until the crust is golden. Once the pizza is out of the oven top with the sliced tomato and the basil. Enjoy!
4. If you have leftovers, keep in the fridge in an airtight container.
